Is Umrah open now? On the published ministry calendar, yes for the dates below. Visa issuance and entry into the Kingdom began on 31 May 2026. Final visa issuance is 9 March 2027. 27 October 2026 falls inside that window. This is not a live feed, and UmrahVisa.in is not a Saudi government website.

Last verified 27 October 2026. The ministry notice was published on 17 May 2026. Its page also shows a last-updated stamp of 19 October 2026, and the pilgrim dates in the notice were unchanged.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah published this calendar on 17 May 2026. Visa issuance and entry into the Kingdom start on 31 May 2026. The last visa-issuance date is 9 March 2027. This page repeats that notice. It does not check whether a Saudi system is open today.
Four different dates
A season notice uses these words for different permissions. They are not one deadline.
- Visa issuance is the last day an Umrah visa can be issued, and the day issuance starts.
- Entry into the Kingdom is permission to arrive in Saudi Arabia. On this calendar it starts with visa issuance, and it ends later than visa issuance.
- Entry into Makkah and a Nusuk Umrah permit start one day after Kingdom entry starts.
- Final departure is the ministry’s last date for Umrah pilgrims to leave. It is later than the last entry date.

The same ministry notice records earlier operator steps, which are not pilgrim entry dates: appointment booking from 4 March 2026, forum agreements on 30 March and 1 April 2026, external-agent qualification on 11 May 2026, and service-provider contracting for accommodation, transportation, and catering on 12 May 2026.
One-year visa during the Hajj season
This is a different notice from the season calendar. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in the Saudi Press Agency report of 20 July 2026, says the one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa is not activated for entry from 1 Dhu al-Qi'dah through 13 Dhu al-Hijjah.
That rule does not replace 9 March, 23 March, or 7 April 2027. It also does not state a separate ban on entering Makkah or on staying in Makkah. The visa cannot be used for Hajj. The fuller stay rules, including the 90-day cumulative limit, are on the apply page.

If the published window covers your travel month, you can ask Omni Trips and Hospitality Services to start a Standard visa file on WhatsApp at +91 98450 57407. That message does not submit a visa to the Saudi government. There is no email alert form on this page. The old name-and-month box did not send a message by itself.
Hotel documents and airport transport are not the same requirement on every visa. This page does not mark a Hotel BRN as active for every pilgrim, and it does not call airport transport a Transport BRN. The BRN page explains Hotel BRN, Catering BRN, and Tafweej.

Do hotel and transport requirements vary by visa category?
They can. This page does not say a Hotel BRN is required for every visa. First-leg airport transport is Tafweej coordination and is not a Transport BRN. The India Standard file does not include Catering BRN or Hotel BRN. A hosted file can ask for different host documents. The issued visa and the BRN page are the place to check a particular file.
Does the one-year visa use these same closing dates during Hajj?
